On Sunday we all came back from a great 4-day trip to The Glen at Maple Falls. There was a lot of swimming, a lot of time spent hanging out with family, and a lot of time dicking around in the forest. By the last day, Jack had become a hobbit:
Heather doesn’t see it.
Many months ago, we got a bike for Jack; but in our sidewalk-less neighborhood he hasn’t had much of a chance to ride it. That all changed at The Glen, with Jack pedaling so fast I had to run to keep up with him. Our goal for Jack is to start taking him and his bike to the Green River Trail and get those training wheels off by the end of summer.
Look mom, no neck!
While Jack’s hairy feet pedaled furiously, Ruby was close behind on her scooter (or someone else’s scooter that we’re borrowing–I can’t keep up), swinging her left leg like a mighty pendulum of meat to power herself down the road. They both had a great time. We all had a great time. Thanks for letting us stay there, Mom and Dad.
“Pendulum of meat…” Not your best work, Dad.
